This is an easy beginner trail, nearly double-track wide that follows the flow of Cowiche creek, through the Cowiche Canyon. Bluffs line the ridge of the canyon and water flows year round. Beware of rattlesnakes, and in the summer months dehydration, as temps in eastern Washington hover near the 100's thru September.
From U.S. 12, Take river road exit, turn left at "T" intersection. Take next Right on Cowiche canyon Road. Follow this to the dead end at the trailhead.
